| Withdrawing from Courses with the Grade of ‘W’ Second week to fifth week of classes for Undergraduate students: September 14 to October 9, 2008 Third week to fifth week of classes for Graduate students: September 21 to October 9, 2008

| Procedure for Withdrawal |
| You may drop/add courses during the late registration and course changes period using ‘Web for Students” which is available from 7:00am until 11:00pm during the following period: August 31 to September 11, 2008 |

“Drop/Add” form is available on the Registrar’s Web page. Click on “Forms”, select “Drop/Add” form and print it. Students with undeclared major may obtain the form from “Freshman Advising Office”. -
Complete the form and secure approvals from your advisor and the chair of your department of major, the Director of International Student Services (if you are a year abroad/non-degree student), or the Freshmen Advisor (if you are an undeclared student). -
For any Hard Core course, except RHET or ARIC courses, obtain the approval of the Core Curriculum Advisor. -
Submit the drop form to the Office of the University Registrar in person. A grade of “W” signifying “withdrawn” will be posted to your transcript for courses dropped during this period. |

| Procedure for Withdrawal |

“Drop/Add” form is available on the Registrar’s Web page. Click on “Forms”, select “Drop/Add” form and print it. Students with undeclared major may obtain the form from “Freshman Advising Office”. -
Complete the form and secure approvals from your advisor and the chair of your department of major, the Director of International Student Services (if you are a year abroad/non-degree student), or the Freshmen Advisor (if you are an undeclared student). In addition, obtain an assessment of your performance from the instructor of the course you are dropping, either WP (withdrawn passing) or WF (withdrawn failing). -
For any Hard Core course, except RHET or ARIC courses, obtain the approval of the Core Curriculum Advisor. -
Submit the drop form to the Office of the University Registrar. A grade of WP or WF will be entered on the transcript for courses dropped during this period. |
