| Course Repeat Policy Undergraduate Students |
| |
| Students have a chance to repeat a course one time for the purpose of improving a grade. This policy is subject to the following limitations: |
|
-
The student may repeat a maximum of 12 credit hours during the entire undergraduate career. -
The rule applies to courses taken at AUC within the previous two academic years. -
All course repeats must be done at AUC. -
The student must repeat the same course previously taken. If the same course is no longer offered within the permissible two years, the department of major is authorized to substitute another course. -
The student cannot use this policy if an "F" grade is received for academic dishonesty. -
If a student repeats a course, the credit from the first attempt will not be applied to meeting the graduation requirements. -
No student will be permitted to repeat more than 12 credit hours. |
|
| The grade received in the first attempt is not removed from the original record; instead it is disregarded in the calculation of the grade point average. The second grade is recorded and computed in the grade point average. Click here to print the "Repeat Form" and observe the deadline for submission of the form. |
|
| Repeating Courses Outside the "Course Repeat Policy" |
|
| Students who have exhausted the "Course Repeat Policy" privilege may still repeat a course in which a grade of "D", "D+", or "F" was earned. Both grades for that course will be calculated in the grade point average, but the credit hours of the course will only be applied once to meeting the graduation requirement. |
